A brief update on the weekly activities completed by the EBP Kent team and any other news related to the charity.

Jan 5th - 9th 2026

CEIAG - 12 schools visited across the week by 4 advisors 

Work Placements - 35 placements secured for Kent students, plus 10 H&S checks completed

CEIAG - 10 schools visited across the week by 4 advisors 

Work Placements - 52 placements secured for Kent students, plus 18 H&S checks completed

Jan 19th - 23rd 2026

CEIAG - 9 schools visited across the week by 4 advisors 

Work Placements - 46 placements secured for Kent students, plus 10 H&S checks completed

Events - For Me or Not For Me delivered for 26 SEND students, showcasing a range of sectors and the pathways towards following a similar career. Each workshop contained interactive elements or challenges

Projects - 2 Project Days 

1 - A carefully designed business development day. Year 9 students formulating a new business idea and then working with mentors to grow, market, design and pitch their concept at the end of the day. 145 students in total.

2 - Employability sessions for 16 SEND students, looking at personal confidence, the job application process and transferable skills

Jan 26th - 30th 2026

CEIAG - 11 schools visited across the week by 4 advisors 

Work Placements - 32 placements secured for Kent students, plus 22 H&S checks completed

Events -

Career Fair Support - The creation of a specialist stand representing Hospitality for a Canterbury school's Career Fair. 

Interview Day - 20 interviewers providing one-to-one interviews for Year 11 students. In total, 175 students were able to be part of such an experience

February 2026

Feb 2nd - 6th 2026

CEIAG - 15 schools visited across the week by 4 advisors 

Work Placements - 40 placements secured for Kent students, plus 25 H&S checks completed

Events -

1 - For Me or Not For me - 6 sector specific workshops delivered to 186 Year 9 students, to assist with the selection of options and career aspirations. The day concluded with an employability presentation and each student gaining access to EBP Kent's Virtual Platform (they will have access for 2 weeks)

2 - Employability Morning - 240 Year 9 students took part in 5 different Employability Workshops, utilising teamwork, problem solving and leadership as well as providing careers guidance related to certain sectors. The workshops were delivered by a combination of EBP Kent deliverers and local employers

Projects - Working with 20 Year 12 students for a morning, providing an interview techniques workshop, as well as providing each young person with a mock one-to-one interview

CEIAG - 12 schools visited across the week by 4 advisors 

Work Placements - 28 placements secured for Kent students, plus 10 H&S checks completed

Projects 

1 - Employability Skills Preparation Day with 10 students attending a Pupil Referral Unit. Students listened to presentations, took part in sector specific tasks and tackled interactive workshops looking at transferable skills

2 - Work Experience Preparation Presentation - An interactive presentation, helping 8 SEND students prepare for their week placements, taking place after half term

Work Placements - 16 placements secured for Kent students, plus 8 H&S checks completed

Feb 23rd - 27th 2026

Work Placements - 32 placements secured for Kent students, plus 16 H&S checks completed

CEIAG - 11 schools visited across the week by 4 advisors. Head of Careers also a member of a panel discussion at a careers conference 

Events - 

1 Exhibition Fair: 48 stands across a day for over 1000 young people (ages from 12 to 17)

2 For Me or Not For Me: 8 workshops, delivered by 8 different organisations. Highlighting the work done in different sectors, plus assisting Year 8 students in their selection of options

Mar 2nd - 6th 2026

CEIAG - 15 schools visited across the week by 4 advisors 

Work Placements - 20 placements secured for Kent students, plus 20 H&S checks completed

Events -

1 - Exhibition Fair - 44 stands across a day for over 1030 young people (ages from 12 to 16)

2 - Pathways Afternoon - 200 Year 11 students rotated around 3 different zones during an afternoon, linked to the different pathways they can take towards their eventual career, including training. They experience a Q&A panel discussion on degree apprenticeships and visited a Pathways Fair, attended by HE, FE, apprenticeship providers and voluntary organisations. Finally, students in classes, took part in an Assessment Centre, looking at the different methods companies use to interview potential employees

Mar 9th - 13th 2026

CEIAG - 12 schools visited across the week by 4 advisors 

Work Placements - 28 placements secured for Kent students, plus 30 H&S checks completed

Projects -

1 - Business of Enterprise - The launch of the Business of Enterprise project for 165 Year 10 students. In groups, students will develop new ideas, market them, finance and present back to a panel of judges at the end of the month

2 - Apprenticeship Workshop - Delivering 1 hour workshops for 100 Year 12 students. Students took part in interactive tasks, looked at pathways, employer requirements and different opportunities

Mar 16th - 20th 2026

CEIAG - 12 schools visited across the week by 4 advisors 

Work Placements - 30 placements secured for Kent students, plus 15 H&S checks completed

Events 

1 - Employability Morning - 220 Year 11 students took part in a series of sessions linked to their future employability: Assessment Centre, Interview Techniques, Presentation Skills/Communication and Group Interviews. In total 8 workshop deliverers attended the day. In addition, 14 local business volunteers provided mock, one-to-one interviews, providing verbal and written feedback at the end of the experience. 

2 - Exhibition Fair - 36 organisations visited an East Kent school, providing stands, activities and a feast of information, for 950 students across the school.

Mar 23rd - 27th 2026

CEIAG - 10 schools visited across the week by 4 advisors 

Work Placements - 46 placements secured for Kent students, plus 24 H&S checks completed

Projects - Employability Skills support. The Projects Team worked with 24 SEND students, looking at transferable skills support, applying for work and personal confidence

Events - Pathways Event. 8 employers visited a SEND school, allowing each year group the chance to have 10 minutes with each stand. The students in groups were rotated around each organisation and given support to ask questions and find out more about the kind of pathways available to them. 60 SEND students in total visited the event

Mar 30th - Apr 2nd 2026

CEIAG - 8 schools visited across the week by 4 advisors 

Work Placements - 20 placements secured for Kent students, plus 12 H&S checks completed

Work Placements - Work Placement Interviews conducted in with EBP Kent's Projects Department, for 2026/27 SEND placements. 18 students interviewed, determining aspirations and length of placements (one week or augmented to be an extended placement)

Projects - Business of Enterprise Final, in-school. Lead for Projects judged finalist groups from Year 8, listening to their ideas and selecting a runner-up and overall winner. 170 students took part over the course of a month

Work Placements - 14 placements secured for Kent students, plus 10 H&S checks completed

Work Placements - 22 placements secured

Apr 20th - 24th 2026

Work Placements - 34 placements secured. 11 H&S checks. 4 school cohorts completed in readiness for Work Experience week placements 

CEIAG - 9 schools visited across the week by 4 CEIAG advisors 

Events - In-school Exhibition Fair, 43 exhibitors, 66 employees and over 1000 young people.

Apr 27th - May 1st 2026

Work Placements - 16 placements secured. 6 H&S checks.

CEIAG - 8 schools visited across the week by 4 CEIAG advisors 

Events - Interview Day - 20 local business volunteers supported 220 Year 10 students, by providing one-to-one interview experience. Both constructive written and verbal feedback provided 

Projects - Work Placement visits across the week and a launch day was provided for 45 SEND young people. Sector visits were matched to specific aspirations with teaching and EBP staff in attendance to support young people as they interacted with employers
